Wrought Iron Clad San Mai Chefs Knife
High-carbon 1095 core and a thin slip of Nickel Silver are wrapped with a heavy layer antique wrought iron. The three metals were forge welded together into one beautifully dirty looking piece of steel.
This high-contrast blade is a lean, medium weight kitchen knife that comes in at 163 grams a cutting edge length 8.2” or 206mm .
A highly figured piece of Box Elder Burl was shaped into Wa style handle with G10 Spacer. A hand stitched, vegetable tanned leather saya also accompanies this knife.
