Lazy Twist Fighter II in Box Elder Burl
This damascus fighter II is made from several individual layers of 1095 and 15n20 high carbon steels. The stacked layers were forge welded together and twisted to form one single billet of steel which was then hand forged to knife shape. The blade is about 10.75 inches overall in length with a 6 inch cutting edge that has been sanded by hand and etched to reveal the layers of different steels and the lazily twisted pattern.
The handle on this knife is made from stabilized and multi-dyed gallery grade Box Elder Burl that has incredible grain figuring running throughout. The contoured handle has been fitted with two black micarta pins and a stainless lanyard tube. A hand carved buffalo horn skull and copper pin has been added to a bit of lanyard rope ward off those mischievous spirits ;)
Premium Wickets & Craig vegetable tanned leather was used to make the sheath which was then cut and dyed. The assembled sheath was then hand stitched and the belt loop is fastened with a "lucky wheat penny".
